Today’s #PleasantActivity is a simple goodie. Lie on a patch of grass (or sand, or dirt) and connect with the earth beneath you!⁣

The simple act of laying on grass can do wonders for your mind and physical #wellbeing. It instantly teleports us to a more innocent, carefree time (like when we were children). Take this opportunity to read a book, eat a snack, play with soap bubbles, or doodle in your notebook!⁣ ⁣ It can be used as a grounding exercise, to pull you away from #negativethoughts, challenging emotions, or unwanted memories. You can dial into your sensory experiences quickly by laying on the grass. You can smell the grass, feel it through your fingers, observe it’s vibrant colors… and for just a few minutes you can allow yourself to pause, relax, and enjoy this simple pleasure of being outside and feeling connected to our magnificent planet. ⁣ ⁣ You can also use this time to bond with your community. On a nice day, you’ll likely find other people out and out, laying around the grass in public parks. Even if you never say a word to these other individuals, just being there together, experiencing that same moment, is a type of human connection we all need!⁣ ⁣ I know the weather is getting cool, so try this out soon, and let me know what you think!
