WELLNESS TIP: Cleaning Can be Fun & Good for Your Health
I’m reinventing #SundayFunday by advocating CLEANING today! Yes, Cleaning can be fun AND good for your health!

Studies show that clutter contributes to increased cortisol, stress, anxiety, and other negative emotions. Conversely, cleaning helps you to #destress and has a positive benefit for your mental and physical health! 1. Cleaning can be a workout! Just 20 minutes of physical activity a day was helpful to decrease stress, and vigorous cleaning (like washing floors) helps rid negative energy and process unpleasant feelings. 2. People are more productive and can relax much quicker in de-cluttered spaces. 3. Cleaning your home regularly rids it of unwanted allergens and pollutants, so you’re doing your immune system a favor. 4. People with the cleanest homes are the most physically active! There is an associated positive lifestyle overall, which leads to positive health outcomes. Here are some helpful tips to get started: Tip 1: Do a "Timer 20-Minute Clean"
It only takes 20-minutes. Start with just one area and work away until that timer goes off. One part of your closet, one kitchen cabinet, bookshelves, or a small corner of your living room are some ideas. Tip 2: Tackle high traffic areas first
You’ll see the changes ASAP, and get to enjoy the decluttered space more often. Tip 3: Wipe down and tidy-up surfaces
This is the quickest way to see results after a quick once-through. Tip 4: Quick-clean your bedroom weekly
Make sure that you tidy your bedroom weekly. This is where you rest and recharge, so ensure this area is spic and span. Where will you start today? I cleaned up my kitchen and my home office and it feels awesome!
