PLEASANT ACTIVITY: Take a 30min Walk

Activity number 2 for my #PleasantActivity is a simple, but an ultra effective one: Walking! Walking provides a number of physical and mental benefits:

A daily walk of 30 minutes can cut your heart disease and stroke by 27%.
Walking helps reduce blood glucose and insulin resistance, which helps prevent Type 2 Diabetes.
A happy walking style (straight posture with swinging arms) helps improve mood and recall of positive things more than a negative walking style (slumped posture with little arm movement).
Walking can tone legs, strengthen back and abdominal muscles, and help lose unwanted weight.
Walking outside helps increase alertness, mental clarity, and creativity.
Today I had the pleasure of walking around Calamigos Ranch during a break. Being out in nature makes me appreciate just how majestic our world is, and it’s humbling to be a minuscule part of such grand beauty.
